Mr. Slim is brilliant. I was practicing guitar with his record playin along. I was lucky for having older brother and his blues records. I was 10 years old then. Now i am 34 years old, married, 2 kids, and i make a good living playing guitar and singing (alone).
You can see my channel - jimiguitar100- and see me playing, hope you'll like it

is it me or are his fingers kind of weird looking? i think his fingers were made to play the blues haha.

nickeyparadise @ 7:01 am

Not only does Slim have long fingers, he has long ligaments…This is why his finger curve upwards. His hands are a perfectly shaped to masterly play the piano. His fast runs are very accurate…there are no missing or badly played notes in his technique.

switchest26 @ 7:01 am

Its odd…when im down..the blues actually cheers me up!

WhiteDwarf18 @ 7:01 am

When I hear blues I feel at home!

The real blues king!

Pinteop Perkins and Jelly Roll Morton are also great.

MY GAWD, if those aren't the longest fingers in the history of life itself. I WISH I had those. I just started playing Professor Longhair, and it would make it a whole lot easier to perform some of the runs and turnarounds with fingers like that.

mropzoom @ 7:01 am

sucks to be him. hommie should smoke a joint and chill.

tokaijazz @ 7:01 am

You are more than welcome. And by the way,he moves the bass line to at least F and uses the same pattern F-C F-D..as far,as I can make out.His right hand is,I think, strongly rooted in the C scale, but I am not sure.I hope I have given you some additional help.

LeftForBlues @ 7:01 am

Haha i know what ya mean, i'm trying to listen out the notes i mean.. the riffs, the bass and all that if you know what i mean, thanks anyway :)

Loveyouall91 @ 7:01 am

Hey,I do not know whether this helps, but for the most part his bass line is just the basic C-G C-A pattern..hope this helps…

AndrehFelipe @ 7:01 am

man, its so rare to see a genius instrumentist and a great soulful singer in the same person. but, from times to times, they're born and become legends. May your songs last forever, Slim.

9mej @ 7:01 am
