Who knew Wooster & Jeeves could “get down” like that! Both chaps certainly knew how to “tickle the ivories” that would make even Meade Lux Lewis proud. What a delightful clip to watch. Thanks for posting it!

  2. Shangas says:

As I understand it, both Fry and Laurie can play the piano, although Laurie was always the better one…

One of the best episodes of the series, so far I’ve seen. I’ve 6 more to seen… it’s a proper pity. Because it’s my favourite series.
I love this scene. They playing together is a real delight.

Hehe. I don’t suppose you would happen to have the sheets for it would you? I’ve tried to find them on tinternet but I can’t ;(

  7. Shangas says:

If you’re blue and you don’t know where to go why don’t you go where fashion sits…

A wonderful song. It’s actually NOT that hard to play.

This is THE best ending to any episode of Jeeves and Wooster. Simply genius, perfectly acted out and generally one of the most uplifting scenes in a tv show i have ever saw!

  9. crazypianolady says:

Yes it was puttin on the ritz! Thank you! Sadly, I can’t find it on youtube anymore :(

I think you’re looking for the rendition of “Puttin’ on the Ritz”

I don’t know where the video is, but I believe it was Fascinating Rhythm. You might try searching under that name.

Can anyone help me, I’m looking for a sketch where Bertie is trying to play a piano song but can’t get the rhythm right, like it’s written in 5/4 timing. I’d love to see it. I remember watching it on youtube some time ago..Any ideas?

    LOL The Roller Derby!

  17. TSRule says:

Fry once said: “There’s a piano in my house, and I play when no one’s around – but as soon as anyone listens, my confidence goes and I lose my sense of rhythm.” However, taking into account what he always says about not being able to “join in” with music, singing and dancing, I doubt he plays like Jeeves. Hope that answered your question!
